Plain Butter Cake

 Ingredients:

1/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 2/3 cup cake flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt

 Directions:

Cream shortening and add sugar gradually. Add well beaten eggs and vanilla.. Add milk alternately with the flour, baking powder and salt which have been sifted together. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
