Penna Dutch Crumb Cake

 Ingredients:

3 cups flour
1½ cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 heaping tablespoon shortening
2 eggs
1½ cup milk

 Directions:

Mix flour, sugar and baking powder with shortening. Remove some of this dry mixture and set aside to use for crumbs on top of cakes. Next beat eggs in cup slowly adding milk. Then stir eggs and remainder of milk into dry mixture. Pour batter in greased cake tins and sprinkle with dry crumb mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown.
