Ingredients: 2 cups sifted cake flour |

Directions: Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream shortening until soft and smooth, gradually add sugar, creaming until fluffy. Add vanilla and beat in thoroughly one egg at a time. Add nuts and beat well. Add flour alternately with milk, beating until smooth after each addition. Turn into greased loaf pan and bake in moderate oven 350 degrees about 1½ hours. |
