"Laisy" Daisy Cake

 Ingredients:

½ cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
7 tablepoons brown sugar
5 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons cream or evaporated milk
½ cup coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla
¾ cup groud nut meats

 Directions:

Heat milk to boiling point. Add butter. Let cool. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. beat eggs until thick, add flour mixture to eggs, then add milk. Bake in 350 degree oven in 11" x 7" pan for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and put on frosting.
Mix in frying pan while cake is baking, brown sugar, butter, cream, coconut, vanilla and nut meats. Spread on cake as soon as taken from oven. Place under broiler until golden brown (watch carefully).
