Butterscotch Brownies

 Ingredients:

4 tablespoon butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg, unbeaten
¾ cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon vanilla
¼ cup nut meats

 Directions:

Cream butter and brown sugar and stir over low heat until well blended. Cool. When lukewarm add egg and beat mixture well. Add flour which has been sifted with baking powder. Mix well, add vanilla and nut meats. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut in squares before cold.
