Ingredients: 2 cups flour |

Directions: With pastry blender mix flour, shortening, salt, baking powder, cream of tartar and sugar until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir with fork and add milk all at one time. Stir until dough follows fork around bowl. Pat or roll ½ inch thick on floured board. Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 450 degrees. Makes 10 to 12 biscuits. |
